Education Manager

This position reports to the Client Services Director.  It is a part-time position working 26 hours per week. 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 
The Education Manager oversees the non-medical education services available to clients as well as the administrative functions of those programs.  These include pregnancy education, parenting education, fatherhood, and sexual risk avoidance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of Journeys pregnancy education program
  • Management of Connections parenting education and support
  • Management of Pathways fatherhood program
  • Management of Relationships Under Construction sexual risk avoidance program
  • Supervision of the staff and volunteers administering material aid donations supporting the above programs
  • Management of education staff and volunteers

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and has great problem-solving skills.  This individual needs the ability to organize, manage and prioritize work of education staff.  Minimum three (3) years’ experience in education in the community or a non-profit, preferred; one (1) year ministry experience a plus.  Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience. Previous oversight of volunteers preferred. Counseling experience a plus.  English/Spanish bilingual preferred

A High school degree or GED is required, but we would prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

Community Relations Director

This position reports to the Executive Director.  It is a Full-time, 32 hour per week position with medical benefits.

General Summary:
The Community Relations Director manages relationships with people and organizations outside of Advice & Aid.  In addition, this position helps oversee the donor cultivation function at Advice & Aid.  Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Community Relations Director participates as a member of Advice & Aid’s Leadership Team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Donor Cultivation
  • Fundraising/Special Events
  • Community Outreach

The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an outgoing personality.  This person genuinely enjoys people and has the ability to build rapport quickly.  Experience working with donor or sales management software a plus.  He/she is a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through.  The ability to work cooperatively with a servant Christian heart is vital.  Experience working with donors in a Christian/Non-Profit ministry in community relations or marketing a plus.

We prefer an individual with a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or other applicable major and 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
